John Anderson performed "The Question of Our Speech: The Return to Aural Culture" by Cynthia Ozick, Jennifer Cover Payne '71 G'72 performed "Wild Grapes" by Robert Frost, Sonnet 116 by William Shakespeare, "Little Brown Baby" by Paul Laurence Dunbar, "When Dey 'Listed Colored Soldiers" by Paul Laurence Dunbar, "Paul Robeson" by Gwendolyn Brooks, "Song In Spite of Myself" by Countee Cullen. Everett "Rett" Rich '64 G'68 performs a collection of E.E. Cummings writings from "A Poets Advice to Students." Suzie Sims-Fletcher G'93 performs several poems, starting with "The Village Voice on Satire", "May He Lose his Way" by Archilochos, then "The Travelers Curse After Misdirection" by Robert Graves, then "At the Theatre: To the Lady Behind Me" by A P Herbert, then "Unfortunate Coincidence" by Dorothy Parker, and lastly "What's that Smell in the Kitchen" by Marge Piercy.
